This year the Eid al-Adha known as Kurban Bayramı in Turkey falls on the period from June 28th until July 01, which is four days, and the Turkish government has extended the holiday time for all public and government offices for a longer period of 9 days. Accordingly businesses, banks and government services will cease normal operations for the duration of the holiday. So this is going to be a busy time when people are travelling for summer holidays and family visits. Please plan ahead as many services may be unavailable or full.
How you can celebrate?
You can plan to attend a concert of a popular singer Cem Adrian at the Marmaris Amphitheatre on June 29th 2023 at 21:00 and the ticket prices start from 388,50 Turkish Liras. We are sure this is not the only concert or event scheduled for the week of the Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice. As we mentioned earlier the coming week of Kurban bayram or the Festival of Sacrifice will be a busy time. This major annual religious festival could impact your travel plans. The easiest way to celebrate for Marmaris residents and tourists is to head to the central Fountain square, where there are dancing fountain shows every evening. The shows at the Fountain will take place at 21:00.
