Popular Marmaris Attraction goes down in history as court orders its closure
A long time ago the Animal Rights Organisation Mahakder together with Marmaris community have filed a case to the court appealing that the Dolphin Park has mismanaged the center and dolphins’ use as their business assets.
To keep a long story short, the license of the Dolphin Park in Marmaris has finally been deemed void this week. The doors to the Dolphin Park are now locked up and sealed by court order. No one can break this seal.
The Dolphin Park owned by a German company appears to have ownership of the dolphins. This only makes this fight for animal rights more complicated. But the animal protection rights enthusiasts are determined to free the dolphins, in order for them to be sent to a rehabilitation center, followed by a release to their natural habitat. We all hope for a miracle and further updates. We hope this happens all over the world, not only in Marmaris, Turkey.
