Turkey is celebrating an annual Children’s Festival and there are many events for children planned this weekend in Marmaris.

The founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, declared April 23rd to the children of Turkey and all the world, emphasizing the fact that children are the future of the countries.

Saturday 22nd of April there is a fishing competition for children of 8 to 14 years old starting at 06:30 am in the centre of Marmaris, at Turkmenistan park.

Sunday 23rd of April there is an opening of Icmeler Science and Education park at 13:30 in Icmeler,  this event’s highlights include presentations of 3D printers, robots and programming, smart games, team work and ceramics workshops for kids.

Later that day in Marmaris at 4pm there is an arts exhibition dedicated to marine life and the award ceremony for the fishing competition, along with the famous fish in bread feast at 5pm.
