Happy Republic Day, Turkey! Cumhuriyet Bayramımız Kutlu Olsun

October 29th 2017 is the 94th Anniversary of the Turkish Republic. We celebrate the founding of the Republic in Turkey by its legendary leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Celebrations and a concert by Turkish pop star Sila will take place tonight on October 28th 2017 at 21h00 on Ataturk square in Marmaris center.

Sunday 29th of October – the Republic Day- will begin with an official ceremony at 10:00 AM on Ataturk square in Marmaris center;
Sunday 29th of October ‘Republic Lantern Regiment‘ the parade will begin at 19:00 from Ketenci hotel down to Ataturk square where the army orchestra will perform at 19:30 hrs.

Last, but not least: Turkey has decided to stay on Daylight Saving Time, GMT+3, throughout the year. This means that Turkey will be 1 hour ahead of time in Greece and other European countries in GMT+2 zone from October 29, 2017 to March 25, 2018.
