Dalyan Turtle Beach
The sea turtle season on Dalyan Turtle Beach called a group of ecologists, wildlife biologists, conservationists, and environment enthusiasts like you and us to gather and witness the release of the four adult sea turtles Caretta Caretta and a few dozen of baby turtles Caretta Caretta on Dalyan Turtle Beach (Iztuzu Beach) located by the riverside resort Dalyan at the end of the summer. One by one, the sea turtles Caretta Caretta were brought to the beach to present remarkable advances in lifesaving treatment and rehabilitation at DEKAMER – Sea Turtle Research Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.
The volunteers and ecologists of Dekamer were telling the story of each sea turtle. The sea turtles Caretta Caretta have recovered good health and physical abilities. Dekamer center heals injured sea turtles and release them back to the sea. One of the sea turtles Caretta Caretta received a 16-month treatment and fully recovered to be released on Dalyan Turtle Beach.
As the Release action unfolded the participants became increasingly excited. Dekamer center, located on Dalyan Turtle Beach, is a small but passionate group of researchers who believe that orphans or injured/sick adult sea turtles should be released back to nature in appropriate locations after treatment and rehabilitation have been completed.
