Marmaris opens up a panorama of breathtaking bay views and it is becoming more gorgeous every single day, don’t you think? With lines of colorful boats, yachts and gulets blanketing the bay against the dramatic mountains and islands, Marmaris is guaranteed to spark romance in your soul.

The location of Marmaris allows you to travel to by boat to nearby Cleopatra island, Aegean islands, Turtle Beach and neighboring resorts of Icmeler, Turunc, Ciftlik; while Gokova, Akyaka, Selimiye and Datca are less than an hour ride away from Marmaris.

Among all Selimiye as one the most sophisticated resorts on the South Western coast of Turkey, it’s also the most expensive. Beach options are limited in Selimiye. It is mostly visited by the wealthy Turkish people. Average room prices are a few thousands Turkish lira per night, and the same is paid for lunch or dinner. The area is well known for celebrity clientele in Turkey who arrive in style by private yachts to Selimiye.

By the way, don’t be surprised at the photos of bowls of soup in the end of today’s photo collection. Eating soup is a cult for Turkish people, more important than Turkish breakfast. They are ready to eat soup early in the morning and late at night. You have probably seen ‘Late night Soup’ on hotel menus too. That’s what it is all about! So this morning we followed the local tradition and had soup for breakfast 🙂
